Photographs from an Old Album

The photos above come from an old leather bound album which belonged to the grandfather of Liz Neil, Leith.  Liz adds:

"We don't know who the photographer was but we have a portraits shot of him and he looks slightly Indian.  It seems he took pictures all over the Edinburgh and Stirling area and then took a journey on a steam ship to what looks like the Indian sub continent.  I've been trying to find out more. 

I dated the album from the pictures, landmarks and some had scribbled dates ranging from 1893 onwards."
