This postcard with its broad white border is not typical of most produced in the Albany Series. It is a view of Holyrood Palace, from the forecourt. The fountain is to the right-hand side of the Palace, with Arthur's Seat in Holyrood Park in the background. This is one of two cards used to promote a business. See the back of the card above for details. It was posted on 24 September 1909. The other Albany Series card promoting a business was a view of Craigmillar Castle produced for Andrew Lawrie & Son. |
