Post Cards  -  WH Series  -    Berlin

The National Gallery

The card above is one of many produced by WH of Berlin.  These cards all show buildings in Britain (and abroad?) with cut-out windows and moon, intended to be held up to the light for effect.

A message was written on this card on 13 October 1911, but it was never sent through the post.

This view looks down from Edinburgh Castle towards:

-  the National Galleries and

-  the Scott Monument in Princes Street.
