Richard Bee in his fish shop at the top of Broughton Road Richard is due to retire soon and expects the business to pass on to another member of his family. His family has been selling fish from fish shop since 1905. Richard started selling in his father's shop in the Royal Mile on leaving school in 1965. He then moved to a fish shop in Leith, then took over 'Something Fishy' at the top of Broughton Street around 1999. Something Fishy had been run by his brother, John Croan Bee, for the previous 22 years. The family is related to John Croan who used to run the kipper factory beside Newhaven Harbour. |
