Castlehill

Around 1953 Thank you to Jim Cairns for providing this photograph, taken by his dad, David Cairns. Jim tells, who lived at the top of Ramsay Lane, beside the Castle Esplanade, tells me that he believes that this photo of troops parading up Castlehill would have been taken during the visit to Edinburgh of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh, following the Queen's Coronation in 1953.
