This is one of many new road signs that appeared on roads in the New Town of Edinburgh in 2005 as the Central Edinburgh Traffic Management scheme was introduced. This view looks to the west from George Street and across Charlotte Square. In the centre of the square (partly hidden by a pole with no road sign on top!) is the Albert Memorial. On the west side of the square is the dome of St George's Church, now West Register House. |
