The Corner of Drummond Street and Pleasance

Police Box beneath the Flodden Wall

This is one of several former Police Boxes still to be found around the streets of Edinburgh.  It can be found beneath the Flodden Wall on the corner of Drummond Street and Pleasance in Edinburgh's Old Town.

Exhibition

Here we look inside the box during an exhibition held in August 2010.

Malcolm Irving used this box to publicise his book 'Edinburgh Police Boxes' and photographs of Police Boxes.  This exhibition opened from 12 noon to 1pm for about ten days from August 9, 2010, during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

In the photograph above, one of Malcolm's framed photos of Police Boxes can be seen hanging in front of the orange window.  Part of Edinburgh's Flodden Wall can be seen through the red window.
