This view looks across Prince of Wales Dock, towards the NE corner of the dock, where Normand Pioneer is moored. Normand Pioneer is a 'Multifunctional Offshore Vessel'. It was delivered in 1999 and has been used in pipe laying work. This is the ship that transported diving equipment to the Barents Sea to assist in attempts to reach the Russian submarine, the Kursk in August 2000. |
