Leith Harbour Sailings

HMS Severn (P282)  and Royal Yacht Britannia are both moored here, at Leith Western Harbour, beside the shopping and entertainment centre, Ocean Terminal.

HMS Severn

HMS Severn is one of three River Class offshore protection vessel commissioned in 2003.  They are

-  HMS Tyne      (P281)

-  HMS Severn  (P282)

-  HMS Mersey  (P283)

These are leased by the Royal Navy from shipbuilder, Vosper Thornycroft.

Royal Yacht Britannia

The Royal Yacht Britannia is now one of Edinburgh's most popular visitor attractions.  Access to the yacht is from the 2nd floor of Ocean Terminal, down the steel structure between the two ships in this picture.
