This photograph appears to have been taken from the roof of one of the tenements in Starbank Road, which runs beside the stormy-looking Firth of Forth to Newhaven. Newhaven Harbour is on the left of the picture. Leith Harbour can be seen in the background. The only traffic in the street is a horse-drawn cart and a tram. |
