Edinburgh's Floral Clocks

Princes Street Gardens

A Floral Clock is planted in Edinburgh during the summer months each year.  The first was planted in 1903.  The idea has been copied by many other cities around the world.

2008 Clock

Here, the 2008 Floral Clock is being planted on June 9, 2008.  Princes Street can be seen in the background.

The two men planting the clock are in the upper-right corner of this picture.  This motif has been planted with the legend: "TA 100".
