Simon Square and Gibb's Entry

This photo looks NW towards the shop on the corner of Gibb's Entry and Simon Street.   Davy Street can be seen in the background.

Note the large triangular advert for Hudson's Soap 'for the people', on the wall of Gibb's Entry and the Sale Room at the southern end of Simon Square.

Here is another view, taken from further back, also looking to the north along Simon Square:

Gibb's Entry

I originally gave the wrong name of the small lane in this photo.  So, thank you to Bryan Gourlay for telling me the correct name.

"In the immediate left of Photo 21 of Simon Square, beside the Hudsonís Soap sign, you can just see the beginning of the narrow lane, Gibb's Entry, which goes through to Nicolson Street.  My great grandfather grew up with his grandparents in  Gibb's Entry
