Here, Water Wardens remove ducks from the Water of Leith at the end of the race. The netting that prevented the ducks from travelling further down the Water of Leith can be seen in the background. There were over 2,000 plastic ducks in the race. Last year (2007) the netting failed to catch the ducks and about 1,000 ducks escaped, last seen floating down the water towards Leith. |
