The Race The Stockbridge Duck Race is part of the annual Stockbridge Festival. The 2008 race was the 20th Stockbridge Duck Race. Over 2,000 yellow plastic bath ducks, each one numbered, were launched over the bridge at Deanhaugh Street, Stockbridge, into the Water of Leith, at 3pm. The finishing line was netting stretched across the river close Falshaw Bridge, the next bridge downstream. |

Funds for Charities Ducks were sponsored for £1.50 each. All proceeds in the 2008 event were shared between two charities, Stockbridge House and Maggie's Edinburgh. The afternoon finished with a kids' disco hosted by the Antiquary Bar, St Stephen Street, Stockbridge.
