Sketch Thank you to Peter Main, Newtonmore, Scotland, for allowing me to reproduce the Phillimore sketch above. The sketch has been signed in pencil 'RP Phillimore'. Peter also provided another Phillimore sketch of Edinburgh: Playhouse Close Peter added: "These two sketches are both framed. The back of each frame carries a label ‘ANDREW BARRON, Picture Frame Maker, 34 FREDERICK STREET EDINBURGH’. I can only find internet reference to Andrew Barron in Hanover Street in the 1880s when he was mentioned as a carver and gilder’.
