Railway Timetable - 1907

Here is an extract from the 1907 timetable.  Looking at the times and the column headings, it appears that the whole timetable is spread over two pages and that this is one of the pages.

This page lists almost 50 train per day departing from Princes Street Station (passenger trains) or Lothian Road Station (goods trains) heading for Granton and Leith, together with a few heading for destinations north of the Forth.  Two of the trains have a destination of Granton Gas Works;  they are described as Workmen's Trains.

On Sundays, this lists just two trains heading for Granton or Leith.  Both are workmen's trains to Granton Gas Works, one departed Princes Street Station at 5.37am, the other departed Princes Street station at 5.37pm.

Journeys from Princes Street Station to Granton Gas Works Station in 1907 took just 12 minutes.
