Ronnie Corbett
"Ronnie Corbett was a former pupil at the
Royal High School. He visited the school in about 1967-8.
He arrived in his grey Bentley, had a talk
with the Rector, Baillie T. Ruthven (who I believe was later Controller of BBC
Radio Scotland), came down into the main Assembly Hall, and sat in amongst our
class to have his photo taken.
He was famous even then, before the 'Two
Ronnies', I think because he was on the 'Frost Report', which I can still
remember. I'd dearly like to have a look at the photo, which I never did
get to see."
