St Mary Star of the Sea

The Catholic Church, St Mary Star of the Sea, is about half way down Constitution Street, Leith, on the west side of the street.

This statue of Jesus is behind the church.  The inscription on this statue reads:

SACRED HEART OF JESUS,

HAVE MERCY ON THE SOULS

OF

OUR DECEASED PRIESTS,

SISTERS AND PARISHIONERS

MAY THEY REST IN PEACE

PRAY FOR THE DONORS

OF THIS MEMORIAL
