Silvermills This large bronze sculpture, Horse, Rider, Eagle, by sculptor, Eoghan Bridge (born Edinburgh, 1963) has been installed on a street corner amongst the new housing at Silvermills, about a quarter of a mile to the SW of Canonmills, Edinburgh. This sculpture was commissioned by Cala Homes (Scotland) in association with Edinburgh Council's "Percent for Art" scheme in 1997. This is one of two sculptures of horses and riders by Eoghan Bridge. The other, titled Horse and Rider, has been sited outside Baillie Gifford's building at Rutland Court. It was commissioned through the "Percent for Art" scheme in 1993. |
