This view looks to the south towards the tower of St Stephen's Church at the foot of St Vincent Street. 

This large bronze sculpture, Horse, Rider, Eagle, by sculptor, Eoghan Bridge (born Edinburgh, 1963) has been installed on the street corner on the right-hand side of this photo.  These streets are at Silvermills, about a quarter of a mile to the SW of Canonmills, Edinburgh.

This sculpture was commissioned by Cala Homes (Scotland) in association with Edinburgh Council's "Percent for Art" scheme in 1997.

This is one of two sculptures of horses and riders by Eoghan Bridge.  The other, titled Horse and Rider, has been sited outside Baillie Gifford's building at Rutland Court.   It was commissioned through the "Percent for Art" scheme in 1993.
