Buses
LEFT: The bus
on the left with the black and white advert is one of Edinburgh's newest
buses, a Wright Eclipse Gemini. It was delivered in 2009 and branded for
route 26. Ten of these buses, including the one in this photo have
'all over' adverts for Edinburgh Zoo. There are five different
themes. This one is zebras.
CENTRE: This is one of a batch of six small
single-deck buses, Optare Solo SRs. They are used on the shorter and
quieter routes operated by Lothian Buses and MacTours.
RIGHT:
One of the oldest buses in the Lothian Buses fleet, a 1996 Volvo Olympian,
due to be withdrawn from service soon, possibly late July 2009. This
is painted in the red livery used for routes 15/15A, the only routes that
now operate without the harlequin-liveried low floor buses that can
accommodate wheelchairs.
