Tranent Haddington Road  -  Route 15

The Terminus

Tranent lies about ten miles to the east of Edinburgh, and about two miles south of the Firth of Forth.

This view looks to the east at Tranent, along High Street towards Haddington Road.  This was the terminus for Route 15 until the service was extended to Tranent Windygoul on September 30, 2007.

The Route

Routes 15 and 15A are similar except for the southern section of the route where alternate busses take different routes between Penicuik Town Centre and Fairmilehead:

-  15:    via Auchendinny, Roslyn Hotel (for Chapel) and Bilston

-  15A:  via Easter Bush

The Bus

This bus is painted in the livery for Route 15 - a 'tomato soup' shade of red, a close match for one of the ladies in the picture!
