The Route The NW terminus of route 16 is at Silverknowes close to the Firth of Forth. This route has two termini in SW Edinburgh, Hunter's Tryst and Colinton. Buses alternate between these two termini, except in the evening when all go to Colinton |

Terminus This view looks to SW up Westgarth Avenue, with the low sun on the Pentland Hills in the background. The bus is waiting at the Colinton terminus beside the tennis courts on the NE side of Westgarth Avenue. The old village of Colinton and the village church beside the Water of Leith lie about half a mile to the west of this terminus. |
