Greenbank terminus  -  Route 23

City Hospital

Route 23 runs from Trinity in north Edinburgh to two termini in south Edinburgh, Greenbank and Glenlockhart.

Alternate buses run to these two destinations, except in the evenings when all buses run to Greenbank

-   Glenlockhart is a campus of Napier University.

-  Greenbank terminus is at the western end of Greenbank Drive.  This view looks to the east along Greenbank Drive.

I don't know what the tower is for on the land behind the bus.  In front of the bus is one of the Lothian Buses support vans that has just arrived to allow a changeover of drivers at the terminus.

On the right of the photo, some of the new housing can be seen.  This is part of a large area of housing built recently in and around where the City Hospital once stood.

When the City Hospital was built, it was an isolation hospital, far from any housing, but Edinburgh has since expanded, and the whole area has now been filled with housing.
