The Terminus

The new 'Edinburgh Royal Infirmary' opened at Little France, about 4 miles SE of the centre of Edinburgh in 2002.

Bus Routes

There are now several Lothian Buses routes that terminate at or pass through the grounds of the New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.  These provide direct connections between many parts of Edinburgh and the hospital.

In this view the single-decker buses on routes 24 and 38 are standing between the main entrance to the hospital (out of picture, left) and the entrance to the Emergency Dept (background, right).

Here is another view of these two buses:

The double-decker bus on the extreme left of this photo is on route 33, nearing the end of its journey from Baberton in SW Edinburgh to Hyvot's Bank at Gilmerton.
