The bus here is seen on service 37 in its new red white and blue livery used by Lothian Buses for the low floor vehicles used on services 37, 47 and 47X that run between Edinburgh and Penicuik.

Penicuik

Penicuik lies about ten miles to the south of Edinburgh.  At one time this was well beyond the limit of Edinburgh Corporation buses.  But now Edinburgh's buses, branded 'Lothian Buses' operate routes 15, 37, 47 and X47 to Penicuik.

The bus in this photo has reached the Penicuik Ladywood terminus.  This route takes the main road south to the centre of Penicuik, then turns to the east, then to the north and heads back through the housing and along Eskvale Drive to the Penicuik Ladywood terminus seen in this photograph.
