Rosewell Terminus

Here is one of the buses in the branded livery for Route 49 about to leave its turning circle at the southern end of Rosewell, about seven miles south of the centre of Edinburgh.

Route 49 has been branded

"The Leader of the Pack"

This is one of several playing card themes currently being used to brand Lothian Buses' services.

Most buses on Route 49 used to terminate at Danderhall, with only one in three going on to the Rosewell terminus.

But now (2009) all buses on this route go on to Rosewell. They provide a service every 20 minutes from Rosewell via the centre of Edinburgh to The Jewel (Asda superstore) to the south of Portobello.
