Dumbiedykes terminus  -  Bristo Square

The Route

Service 60 was the shortest of the MacTours routes.  It provided a half-hourly service, Monday to Saturday:

FROM: Viewcraig Street, Dumbiedykes, near the western edge of Holyrood Park

TO:      Bristo Square (near Edinburgh University's McEwan Hall)

TO:     Holyrood Gait (near 'Dynamic Earth')  and back to Viewcraig Street, Dumbiedykes.

The whole journey took just under half an hour.

The Buses

This photo looks to the NW down Bristo Place towards a new single-decker bus on MacTours Route 60,  standing at its Bristo Square terminus.

This bus was used on the route for only a few months.  The route was transferred to Edinburgh Coach Lines on October 6, 2008.
