Dumbiedykes terminus  -  Viewcraig Street

The Route

Service 60 was the shortest of the MacTours routes.  It provided a half-hourly service, Monday to Saturday:

FROM: Viewcraig Street, Dumbiedykes, near the western edge of Holyrood Park

TO:      Bristo Square (near Edinburgh University's McEwan Hall)

TO:     Holyrood Gait (near 'Dynamic Earth')  and back to Viewcraig Street, Dumbiedykes.

The whole journey took just under half an hour.

The Buses

This photo shows one of MacTours new single-decker buses standing at the Dumbiedykes terminus in Viewcraig Street.  This bus was used on the route for only a few months.  The route was transferred to Edinburgh Coach Lines on October 6, 2008.
