The Terminus
This view looks to the
west along Henderson Row. The large building on the left is
the former tram depot that also housed the motor for the winding
gear for Edinburgh's first cable trams that ran down Dundas Street
and Howe Street.
In the 1960s, this
building became a garage for police cars.
In the 1990s, the building was converted to an insurance
company office. It has a plaque on the front wall,
commemorating the time when it was used by the tramway company.
