Thank you to Alistair McBeath, Granton, Edinburgh for allowing me to reproduce this photo.

The photo was taken from Wardie Bay as the engine travels along the embankment and over the bridge at the southern end of Granton Eastern Harbour breakwater.

Trinity Station lies to the west.  Granton Square lies to the right.

Alistair wrote:

"This photo is from my private collection.  It is the only shot I've seen of a train taken from Wardie Bay.  It looks as if it's close to the old Wardie Hotel.

On the reverse is:

Loco 64555 Granton 25 May 1955."
