Holyrood Chapel

Holyrood Chapel or Abbey is situated beside Holyrood Palace.  It was originally built in the English or pointed style of architecture, but has long been a ruin.  It suffered damage in a storm of 1795.

This became a popular subject for early photographs in the 19th century.
