Edinburgh Academy  -  Hamilton Place

This building, with its portico supported on Grecian Doric columns, was designed by William Burn, the designer of the John Watson Hospital.

The cost of the Edinburgh Academy building was £12,000.  

It  is situated at the northern extreme of Edinburgh New Town (almost a mile to the north of Princes Street).
