Merchiston Tower

Merchiston Tower, near Edinburgh was reported to have been attacked in disputes between the loyalists and associates in June 1572.

More recently, it became the residence of John Lord Napier, Baron of Marchiston who discovered logarithms.

[History of Edinburgh (Maitland)   Maitland referred to the building as Marchiston Tower]
