Sampson's Ribs  -  Queen's Park, Edinburgh

Sampson's Ribs is a rock formation on the western side of Arthur's Seat - the hill 823 ft high in the centre of Queen's Park Edinburgh.  This view looks to the east towards Sampson's Ribs, from the western edge of the park.

The path in the foreground below the rocks leads from Holyrood Palace and Abbey (to the left of this view) towards the Commonwealth Swimming Pool (built for the Commonwealth Games) and Duddingston Loch.
