Advocates Library / The Signet Library

Advocates Library, now the Signet Library,  is situated in Edinburgh's  Royal Mile, close to St Giles Church.

Thank you to Caroline Docherty for providing the following details:

"The engraving entitled Advocates Library from Modern Athens is in fact of what is now The Signet Library, home to The Society of Writers to Her Majesty's Signet.

The WS Society acquired the library from the advocates in 1833, not long after the book was published."

Caroline Docherty,  Edinburgh:  May 30, 2006
