Coronation Day - 1953
"I enjoyed looking at the Coronation
Day photos."

"I remember that day well, as it was
my 17th birthday. Also around that time:
-
Gordon Richards won his only Derby.
-
Stanley Matthews won his only FA Cup
Medal.
-
Hilary climbed Everest."

Location
"Here are possible locations for this photo. The house
appears to be a
Standard Council House, type 8, with a double and single window
and a similar entrance door. These properties were built at
Stenhouse
and Niddrie."

Neil also sent me a 'Google Street View' photo of a
similar house at 41 Stenhouse Avenue West.
