Evening News  -  Flashback Photo

Thank you to Val Henderson (née Thomson) for sending me this photo of a class at Milton House Primary School, taken in 1952.  The photo appeared in the Edinburgh Evening News 'Flashback' feature with a message from Robert Robertson (2nd from right on the front row) asking if any of his class mates recognised themselves in the photo.

Unfortunately, this photo has not reproduced very well.  However, I have included it on the web site because it includes some of the contributors to the EdinPhoto web site, as Val Henderson explains.

Val wrote:

Milton House School Class

"This is  my class photo from when I was at Milton House Primary School in 1952.  I am at the right-hand side of the photo as you look at it and in the second back row.

Helene Waugh is in the same line, as is Joan Kingsland, both of whom have written to you at EdinPhoto.  We all went to Boroughmuir but ended up in different classes.

-  Joan wrote about St Mary Street.

-  Helen about the Dumbiedykes but moved to the Canongate."
