"I've just found this photograph in our garage.
It is a group of workers in a cobbled street. and is dated 1937.
I can't help but notice there is a chauffer in
back row left. Maybe this is our mystery chauffeur from this Humber
Pullman photo of the Leckie family, that was added to the EdinPhoto site
recently:

This makes me think are these may be workers
from a brewery. There were quite a few breweries back then."

"I now have the Leckie car photo and the
workplace photo. They are sitting side by side.

I feel that they could possibly have been
taken in the same place, one showing the windows and the other showing the
wooden gate and the ironwork on the wall."
W & AK Johnston
"The more I think about this photo, the more
confident I am that it the workers would have worked for W&AK Johnston.
MY two grandads both worked there, so they would have had chance to have
had the chance to have their photos taken beside the company's fancy
chauffeur-driven car."

BUT, Answer = 'No'. See "

Not W & AK Johnston
Winnie Lisowski asked Agnes Inglis, who worked for W & AK Johnson
from 1943 until 1956, if she recognised the locations in these photos, and
if the workers in the photo might be of W&AK Johnston workers.

However, Agnes believes that the location is not A & WK Johnston's
yard, thier yard having only small stone wall with iron railings and some
grass at the front. Neither did Agnes remember W & AK Johnson ever
having had a large car and chauffer.
