The Forth Bridge

Looking South

This view was taken, looking to the south towards the southern cantilever and Queensferry, as I made my way with a guide towards the top of the northern cantilever on the bridge.

The guide walked up long slope behind him to the position where he sat down.  I walked 'inside the bridge' a few feet below the guide, and emerged up a ladder here (carrying camera bag and tripod!)

The Cantilevers

This photo gives a clearer view of the routes up the cantilevers:

The Cantilevers

On top of the cantilevers, there are level platforms.  They have railings around the edge, but they are only a couple of feet high.  I could not stay long on top of the cantilever as the weather took a turn for the worse, with wind and rain.
