In the early 1990, when I took these photos, there were only two hot metal printers left in Edinburgh. They were: - Speedspools (who used monotype equipment) - Baker & Claremont (who used linotype equipment. Both firms have since closed down, and houses have been built on the site of the Speedspools works at Gayfield Place Lane. |
