View towards Edinburgh Castle  -  from Calton Hill

This view looks across towards Edinburgh Castle from Calton Hill, on 29 December 2003, the evening of the torchlight procession to Calton Hill and burning of the Viking ship on the bonfire on Calton Hill.

This view looks towards:

-   Edinburgh Castle (top of photo)

-   Bank of Scotland Head Office (large multi-coloured building, left).
The colours of the floodlights were constantly changing.

-   Camera Obscura in the Royal Mile.  The blue and white dome is to the left of the Bank of Scotland dome.

-   Funfair on Market Street  -  the hill leading down from the Mound, beneath the Bank of Scotland Head Office to Waverley Bridge.

-   Waverley Bridge (bottom of photo).
