Contestants relax close to the Finishing Line having completed the Santa Fun Run for charity in West Princes Street Gardens on Sunday 12 December 2004. About 3,000 contestants were needed if the record for the largest number of Santas was to be beaten. However, this was the first year that the event had been held in Edinburgh and the number of contestants was closer to 500. Another Santa can be seen in the background, waving from the stage of the Ross Bandstand. 12 December 2004 was also the day that reindeer arrived in West Princes Street Gardens for the Christmas season. |
