Edinburgh Old Town Fire - Dismantling of the Cowgate wall
This photograph looking down Blair Street towards the Gilded Balloon Theatre in the Cowgate. When this photograph was taken work had just begun to dismantle these walls on the south side of Cowgate by hand, working from a platform suspended from a crane. This image is based on a photograph taken on Friday 20 December. Later the same day, the whole of this wall (except for the arched portion at the base) collapsed. |
