Kilmarnock is in Ayrshire, 24 miles south-west of Glasgow. The station is on high ground overlooking the town. The old station noticeboard here was removed as part of a station refurbishment soon after I took this photograph in July 1999. Station announcements are now shown on small TV screens situated on the platforms. |
