The 'granite city' of Aberdeen is on the east coast of Scotland. Formerly better known for its fishing fleet, the city now serves the offshore oil industry. Distances by rail to Aberdeen: - London 534 miles - Glasgow 155 miles - Edinburgh 130 miles - Inverness 108 miles.
