Laird of Dumbiedykes House

What is known of the Laird of Dumbiedykes House, seen on this postcard?

This postcard has not been sent through the post, and does not have any publisher's name printed on the back.  However, the letters '?? ENG CO' can be seen in the lower right corner, on the front of the card.

Laird of Dumbiedykes House

Was it the Deaf & Dumb Asylum?

Thank you to Bryan Gourlay who writes:

"This could be Craigside House, which was used as the Deaf and Dumb Asylum.  The background view of the Kings Park and the Radical Road seem to tie in with where Craigside House was on the old maps on St Leonards Road which became Dumbiedykes Road.

There are a couple of websites suggesting that Sir Walter Scott gave the Deaf and Dumb house the name 'Laird of the Dumbiedykes'.  Some of the dates don't quite stack up, but that could be the fault of the websites.
