This view looks down Edinburgh's Royal Mile towards St Giles' Church
(described on this card as St Giles Cathedral).
Behind the church from this viewpoint (inset on the postcard, but
not in the main picture) is the Mercat Cross from which proclamations were
made to the citizens of Edinburgh.
This postcard has an undivided back, so would have been produced around
1902 or earlier. It has not been sent through the
post. |
