The Publisher

What is known about Rotary Photo EC?  The style of this card is different from most, showing the company name in small print on a white mount.

I would guess that this photo was probably taken around early-1900s.

The clock tower of the North British Station Hotel can be seen in the background.  This hotel opened in 1902.

The View

There are carriages, trams and pedestrians in Princes Street.

In the background are:

-  Nelson Monument on Calton Hill (almost hidden in the mist

-  The clock tower of the North British Railway Hotel (now the Balmoral Hotel)

-  Scott Monument.
