Easter Road

Easter Road

This photo was taken looking to the east across Easter Road, fairly close to Hibs' Football Stadium.

The old Police Box is one of several that can still be found in the streets of Edinburgh.  This one stands by the bridge over the railway to the south of the junction of Easter Road and Albion Road.

Shops

The two shops in the background are both Polish shops.  Several Polish shops have opened in Easter Road and Leith Street over the past few years to cater for the increasing Polish population in the area.

Telephone Boxes

The adverts on the telephone boxes are for:

-  a 'Drinkaware' campaign against drink driving.
'Don't let your night turn ugly.  Why let good times go bad?'.

-  a film opening on October 15, 2010
'Vampires Suck:  some sagas just won't die'.
